Hi It looks like there's some GPIO conflicts between the Hackable Switch and the Allo Relay Attenuator. The Boss doesn't seem to use any of the same pins but the Relay Attenuator does, I believe. See the Relay Attenuator Pin Out details on pages 4 & 5 of the pdf. How can I work around that? I've already gone to the trouble of soldering wires to the bottom of the Pi to the recommended pins before I realized there was a conflict (I'm a beginner at Pi audio so it's not all clear to me yet) but I suppose I can undo if need be. You connect the rca to your power amplifier or amplifier to the two connectors on the right side of relay .Right now you only can control relay with volumio without adding more hardware. If you want to use other software that add buttons, or hifiduino or IR receiver in rpi and remote controller, and install and configure more software on their Rpi. I have RPi4, Isolator (original version), and Boss 1.2 on the project i mentioned here. (I have the Relay Attenuator as well but it's on a different streaming player in another part of the house- I had issue integrating it with the newer version of the isolator so plan to revisit that combination at a later time). I am using LifePo4 and agree they make a sound difference- allegedly because of the very low input impedence? I wonder if there's a way to hack the Boss 1.2/isolator to be able to provide 3.3v directly from LifePo4 and bypass all the circuitry in-between for even cleaner sound. I notice in DYIAudio IanCanada has a DAC set up to be powered that way and I think maybe the Boss could be as well, if I only knew how. To add convenience to the enhanced sound, I am currently working on a project with Arduino-controlled relays to automatically recharge the LifePo4 18650-size batteries when music isn't playing. The only downside to the clean sound from the batteries is needing to change them so often otherwise so this will fix that. I've learned a lot since the original post.
